What might my desire to change be telling me?

You may feel that something in your life needs to change. It may involve a habit, relationship, priority, belief or the direction in which your life is moving.

Sometimes this begins as dissatisfaction: the sense that a way of living no longer feels right, that the same patterns keep returning or that you are not becoming the person you want to be.

You may also have experienced moments when change seemed possible: receiving forgiveness, admitting the truth, making a better choice or discovering that your past did not have to control your future.

Your desire to begin again may be inviting you to look honestly at what needs to be left behind, what kind of life you want to move towards and where you may need help to take the first step.

Christians believe that the desire for a new beginning may be God drawing us towards a better way of life. They believe that Jesus offers forgiveness for the past and invites people to begin again with him.

They believe that the Holy Spirit helps people change from within, leave harmful patterns behind and gradually become more loving, truthful and like Jesus.
